See your prototype before the ink dries.
Balancelyt reads back what your cards, dice, and resources are actually doing — how often, how wide the swing, who's quietly winning the game. Not opinions. What your own numbers already say.
Four ways to trust your own prototype
Built around your intent, not somebody else's idea of fair.
Model your components
Lay out the cards, dice, and resources your prototype is made of. Balancelyt turns them into a real probability model — no spreadsheet required.
Set your own luck dial
Chaotic push-your-luck isn't broken, it's chaotic on purpose. Tell Balancelyt how much luck you're designing for, and it judges your components against that — not a textbook.
Log the real playtest
Record how long the game actually ran, who won, whether someone ran away with it. Balancelyt puts reality next to the prediction and points straight at the gap.
Watch the design's memory
Every change leaves a mark. Weeks later, see the whole arc of your prototype — the version that fell apart, and the change that finally fixed it.
The dice drawer, live
This is a small slice of what Balancelyt does with your prototype's components: pick your dice, and watch the real distribution appear — instantly, exactly, no guessing.
Why we built the workbench
🎲 We are a small crew of homebrew designers who kept having the same night: prototype on the table, four friends around it, and by round three everyone already knew who would win. We built Balancelyt because we were tired of finding out a design was broken only after it was too late to fix it quietly.
📊 Our mission is simple — put the numbers on the table before the dice do. A prototype's real behavior is already sitting inside its cards and components; most designers just have no easy way to read it back before the ink dries on a hundred playtests.
🃏 Balancelyt gives you a private workbench for exactly that: model what your prototype is made of, see how often each piece actually shows up and how wide the swing really runs, then log real playtests and watch where reality and prediction disagree. That gap is where your next design decision lives.

Nothing to collect, nothing to send
Balancelyt was built to run entirely on your own device. This policy explains, plainly, what that means for your data — which is that there isn't any for us to have.
-
Information We Collect
Balancelyt does not collect any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email, location, or any account details, because the app does not use accounts. The prototypes, components, and playtest logs you create are yours alone and never leave your device.
-
How We Use Information
Because nothing is collected, nothing is used, analyzed, profiled, or sold. There is no dataset of your designs sitting on a server somewhere for us to study, share, or monetize. Your probability models and playtest history exist only where you put them.
-
Data Storage
All of your prototypes, component definitions, and logged playtest sessions are stored locally on your device's own storage. Balancelyt has no cloud sync, no remote database, and no backend server to store a copy of your work even if it wanted to.
-
Third-Party Services
Balancelyt does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking software development kits. No usage statistics are transmitted anywhere, and no third party ever receives information about how you use the app.
-
Data Security
Because your prototype data never travels off your device, there is no transmission to intercept and no remote account to compromise. Your device's own operating system protections are what safeguard your local files, the same as any other app you install.
-
Children's Privacy
Balancelyt does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect information from anyone at all. The app contains no chat features, accounts, or data-entry fields that leave the device.
-
Your Control
You are always in full control of your data. There is no account to create, manage, or delete. Uninstalling Balancelyt removes every prototype, component model, and playtest log along with it, since nothing is ever copied elsewhere.
-
Changes to This Policy
If this policy is ever updated, the revised version will be included with the app and dated with a new effective date at the top of this section. Continuing to use Balancelyt after an update means you accept the revised terms.
